Sports

The world of sports mirrors how children can play the game of school and life. They say that active kids do better in school. Sports also provide kids with the opportunity to learn critical thinking and self-discipline as well as goal-setting and practicing leadership skills. These skills all help build character and stick with a child throughout life. Sports can be a life-changing experience for children; you never forget your first trophy or significant win. Youth sport can help children develop personal and social skills teaching them how to share and take turns as well as helping them understand sportsmanship and appropriate behavior. Learning these skills are a great way for kids to make friends. Sports teach children about time management and balancing school with sports. Time management is a skill that will always be needed.  Sports can instill the importance of hard work, teamwork, cooperation, and sacrifice. Sports teach many life lessons, and they build confidence to overcome obstacles. Sports help children learn about being defeated, and winning. Sports teach children to believe and never give up. Children must learn that winning and losing are both temporary, and that they can't give up or quit. Sports can be thought of as a positive stress which comes from taking part in something that's enjoyable yet challenging. Children need to learn to deal with stress in life and overcome those situations to take on a challenge that will better them. Team sports also keep children away from being involved in activities that they should stay away from.
Here is a very good website that gives 10 ways that playing sports is beneficial.

Healthy Relationships

Healthy relationships are relationships that have a positive impact on your life. Healthy relationships usually consist of friends, family, and usually a spouse. This is your support group in life. Everyone’s relationship is unique, and people come together for many different reasons.  You should try to keep as many healthy relationships as possible. The number of healthy relationships you have doesn’t matter as long as you have them. Key to this is to know who your friends are and who need to be just associates. Also know if the relationship with this person is helpful or harmful to you. If you ask god to remove your enemies and you start losing people you thought were friends you need to reassess your relationship with those people. Healthy relationships are with people you trust, can be honest with, that you respect and they respect you, you have patience with each other, and you can count on them. Good relationships improve all aspects of your life, strengthening your health, your mind, and your connections with others. Relationships are an investment. The more you put in, the more you can get back. Learn the difference between an investment and a potentially bad relationship. A relationship that is unhealthy is one where, there is no respect, your feelings are constantly hurt, you do not make time for each other, you are scared of the person, the person is controlling, and violence is involved. If you are in an abusive relationship whether the relationship is physically or mentally harmful it is very unhealthy and in this situation the relationship needs to change or stop completely.
Here is a website that discusses a good versus a bad relationship. The information on this website may be very helpful.

Eating Healthy

What can eating healthy do for you? Eating healthy can make you feel better as a person, and it can help you handle stress better.  Eating healthy can also make you feel like you have more energy which can help with daily activities and exercise. Eating healthy also has many benefits such as it helps your body fight off disease and prevents or reverses chronic health conditions, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and some types of cancer. Eating a healthy, balanced diet provides nutrients to your body. Your body needs nutrients and minerals to maintain the best health and keep your body functioning. These nutrients give you energy and keep your heart beating, your brain active, and your muscles working. Nutrients also help build and strengthen bones, muscles, and tendons and also regulate body processes, such as blood pressure. A healthy diet is a diet that stresses fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, low-fat and fat-free dairy products, and low-fat proteins. A healthy diet means cutting back on foods that have a lot of fats, salts, and sugars. Eating a healthy, balanced variety of foods is far more sufficient than dieting, and if you match that with more physical activity, you are more likely to get to a healthy weight than if you diet.  You should not try to change everything at once. You should set an easy goal you can reach, and then make a long-term goal too. The more support you have, the easier it will be to make changes. Eating healthy is the best way to live. Here is a good website for making healthy choices. It shares with you how you should eat.
