Staying Positive

In life there are positives and negatives to almost any situation. When someone finds the positive to a situation it’s called an upside, and when someone finds a negative it’s a down side. Keep a smile on, everyone goes through ups and downs in life, they are to be expected. What matters in life is how you deal with these ups and downs. Everyone wants to have more ups and fewer downs in life but you can’t control everything. The truth is if life didn’t have downs people would never truly appreciate the ups. But if you put a positive spin on life’s downs and look at the truth for what it really is and not exaggerate or overly praise the ups in life; the ups would last longer and the downs would become shorter. During large downs creating little ups can help things get better. If you stress yourself less over the down and concentrate on fixing the problem winning this battle now turns into a positive. If you know that you control how you react to a situation, and could possibly control the outcome you are at an advantage in your life. Staying positive is the key to staying happy.

The plan of action to make an A is to start off by getting a book so one can be prepared for class. Then plan to read each section for understanding and comprehension to make sure one knows what is going on in class and so that they do not fall behind on topics and class discussion. One should plan to participate and ask questions in class and know what is going on do not be too afraid to ask if you do not. Plan to be on time or early to every class and plan to attend every class so that you do not miss anything. It is hard to catch up with a class when you are behind. Plan to have better eating and sleeping habits so that one is not tired or hungry and all your attention and focus will be where it needs to be so that you are learning. You should plan to have better study habits and not cram work or try to study late at night when you will be really tired. Plan to study in the library and not in your room because there are too many distractions and studying on the bed is setting yourself up for failure. You should plan not to procrastinate so that your work reflects you at your best and not last minute poorly done work. Set small goals for the week to make sure you are staying on track with the plan. Finally keep pushing yourself towards your goals and plan to smile on the inside even if you are not smiling on the out because if you have a positive outlook on things there is no one that can stop you from succeeding and nothing that can get in your way enough to discourage you from completing your goals.
